Senior Account Executive

JDPR, a leading marketing communications agency in Greenville, SC, is seeking to hire a Senior Account Executive to join a growing team in a fast-paced environment, representing national brands across a broad range of disciplines within the marketing communications profession, including Public Relations, Media Relations, Marketing and Digital Media. In addition to a passion for exceeding expectations, the ideal candidate should demonstrate proven experience in strategic communications and track-record of directing client presentations/meetings, managing budget allocation across paid media programs and maintaining concise reporting against strategic KPIs.

This position requires exemplary organizational, communication and time management skills.

Minimum requirement: 4 years agency-side experience.

Responsibilities

Participating in crafting strategic plans.

Establishing and fortifying client relationships.

Crafting media materials – including news releases, media alerts and FAQs – for distribution to target media.

Managing client meetings and relationships.

Planning and deploying strategic programming, including but not limited to, monitoring, campaign development, content creation, tracking and reporting.

Developing and managing paid-media/advertising budgets, program details and reporting.

Conducting research on new business projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, business, or relevant field preferred.

4+ years of demonstrated agency-side experience - does not need to be PR agency experience.

Proven client-management experience.

Our Internships

The Executive Management Assistance Program, or E-MAP internship, at JDPR is a hybrid internship/mentoring initiative that pairs college students with account executives to learn and contribute to real client work.

We offer this program during the summer, spring and fall semesters for rising juniors or seniors with declared majors in a relevant field. E-MAP is a 12-15 week commitment with 12-15 hours split across a 2-3 days/week schedule.

Intern Responsibilities

Intern responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Assisting in researching, writing and editing news releases and preparing media materials for clients.

Distributing news releases and social media releases.

Assisting in creating content for social media sites, including video resources.

Researching media and updating media databases via web-based research tools.

Maintaining client media and advertising placements.

Distributing direct mail and other marketing and promotional materials.

Tracking for news clips and analyzing placements.

Conducting market research and share-of-voice analysis.

Intern Qualifications

Students must possess strong written and verbal skills, familiarity and proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to make cold calls for research and pitching purposes.

Interns that are successful in this position work hard, take initiative, accept feedback and constructive criticism, and think outside of the box to contribute meaningfully to agency and client work.
