GREENVILLE, S.C. – JDPR is excited to announce the return of Shannon Murphy for an unprecedented third semester and the addition of two new interns, Jack Quinn and Dominic Wimbush, for the Spring 2025 Executive Management Assistance Program (EMAP). For more than 25 years, JDPR has supported aspiring students and young career professionals with their EMAP internship by offering real-world marketing-communication experiences as well as professional mentorship and development. JDPR’s cohort of EMAP students will work closely with JDPR’s senior leadership to support their specific interests and goals for their professional development and experience in marketing, public relations and strategy.
“I continue to be blown away by the strength and expertise of our interns,” said agency director Drew Dezen. “We are grateful to be able to foster the development of such talented candidates, and really enjoy the opportunity to provide mentorship and grant valuable work experience to young professionals looking to advance their careers.”
Murphy, a Clemson senior in her third semester as an EMAP intern, operates at a higher level within the agency by working on a distinct client mix through multiple account teams. Murphy continues to assist with JDPR’s lifestyle, health, technology and manufacturing clients through her exceptional content development and organizational skills as well as her remarkable ability for creative writing. She also serves as a resource to the other two interns and leads company-wide initiatives in lock-step with JDPR’s senior account executives.
Quinn, a senior communication major at Furman University, has honed his skills in marketing and public relations through prior internships with Ackerman McQueen in Oklahoma City and GolfRoots in Dallas. At Furman, Quinn is the advertising manager, print designer and contributor of The Paladin Newspaper. He is also a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity, where he previously served as the Sports Chair, and is involved in the Men of Distinction program. His range of experiences and extensive knowledge make him a vital asset to JDPR’s sports group and innovative business-to-business clients.
Wimbush is a senior at USC Upstate majoring in communication studies with a focus on strategic communication. He has acquired a unique set of public relations skills through his experience in hospitality and in competitive online gaming. Before joining JDPR, he helped develop e-sports organizations around the country and led communication training and human resource management for collegiate and tier-2 e-sport organizations. With a background in leadership and proven work ethic, Wimbush is a strong addition to JDPR’s health and lifestyle clients.
JDPR is now accepting EMAP applications for Summer 2025. Interested college students in the fields of communication, marketing or related studies should send their resume and cover letter to Isabel Matos at isabelm@jdpr.com or apply at www.jdpr.com.
