GREENVILLE, S.C. – Greenville Business Magazine has named Raine Templeton Riley, senior account executive at JDPR, one of Greenville’s Best and Brightest 35 and Under. The list recognizes the youngest, brightest leaders in the Upstate—individuals from a wide range of industries making a difference both professionally and in their communities. Riley’s skill in strategic management and developing captivating narratives, as well as her passion for connecting good people and good brands, have facilitated her success both in the public relations industry and personally, and earned her a spot on this prestigious list.
Riley has a proven track record of providing best-in-class strategy and results, exceeding expectations for JDPR’s lifestyle, professional trades and equipment clients. She also co-manages JDPR’s Executive Management Assistance Program, through which she impacts the early careers of public relations professionals. At JDPR, Riley has facilitated the successful launch of outdoor power equipment and robotics brand Kress Commercial in North America, helped land The Bristol Hotel on Travel + Leisure’s list of the Top 500 Best Hotels in the World, supported the Worx brand’s premiere of its VisionAI-guided robotic mower at the Consumer Electronics Show, assisted in the debut of Golf Pride’s retail lab and women’s equity initiative, and elevated Little Giant Ladder System’s status as a leader in professional-grade equipment. Additionally, Riley has led JDPR’s United Way engagement since 2021 through the execution of company-wide service projects, volunteer opportunities with organizations like United Ministries and The Meyer Center, corporate giving initiatives and Project Joy participation.
“Raine is an invaluable member of our team, both in client service and in the development and enhancement of our company culture,” said Drew Dezen, agency director. “She excels at strategic planning and timely tactical execution for our clients while fostering an environment of compassion, volunteerism, growth and fun for our team. Additionally, as manager of JDPR’s Executive Management Assistance Program (EMAP), Raine’s gift for teaching paired with her genuine kindness have helped shape the early careers of dozens of young professionals.”
Outside of work, Riley regularly participates in the children’s program at her church, volunteers with and donates to a variety of community programs including United Way, Project Joy and The LOT Project in Anderson, supports missionary work both domestically and abroad, volunteers at area community theatres, and hosts regular, multigenerational worship and fellowship gatherings in her home.
Riley earned her Bachelor of Science in Travel & Tourism and Master of Arts in Communication, Technology and Society from Clemson University. She began her career as a leader in educational travel, developing an international travel program for the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Clemson—the first of its kind—that has since been replicated across the country. Her expertise led her to present on the topic of educational travel programming at the 2019 Southern Regional Conference for Learning in Retirement. Realizing her real passion lay with storytelling, Riley shifted her career path toward public relations by pursuing a master’s degree. During her tenure as a graduate student, Riley developed her thesis on narrative advertising, taught public speaking courses and worked as a project manager and researcher in Clemson’s Social Media Listening Center.
“I am so honored to be recognized as one of Greenville’s Best and Brightest,” said Riley. “I love being able to serve my community with my colleagues as well as through personal endeavors outside of the office. Beyond that, I am grateful to work in a role where I get to capture and share other’s stories through which understanding and empathy lead to deep, authentic connections.”
